What Apps are available for changing song keys etc.?

Are there any Apps that are useful to musicians and singers regarding changing or detecting songs etc.?

Apps I have found very useful

They are many others which I have not researched, not intend to research, as I am currently happy with these.

Purpose App Name Apple Android Free? Paid Comment Link
Change the key or tempo of an MP3 file on your device Anytune Yes   Yes  $14.99 Free version should be sufficient Anytune (Apple)
  Anytune   Yes       Anytune Beta (Android)
Detect chords on an Mp3 file The Chord Dedicator Yes ?   $2.99 Not the nicest of interfaces, but it works and shows the chords in a table or dynamically as you replay the song.
Supposedly detects from YouTube but I have not tried this.
The Chord Detector App
Detect chords by listening through your device's microphone Chord Detector Yes ?   $2,99 Can be useful sometimes but it depends on background noise, closeness to source etc Chord Detector
Guitar Tuner, Chord lookup, metronome etc Guitar Toolkit Yes Not yet   $2.99 Very handy for tuning, looking up unfamiliar chords, or hearing the proper timing of a song.
I am sure there are many like this also available for android.
Guitar Toolkit
Decibel meter . for those that would just love to know! ** Decibel X Yes   Yes   Not sure of accuracy, but probably useful for relative readings of loudness. Decibel X (Apple)
Decibel X   yes yes     Decibel X (Android)

** Common Sources of Noise and Decibel Levels

According to Centre for Disease Control and Prevention

Sound is measured in decibels (dB).

  • A whisper is about 30 dB,
  • normal conversation is about 60 dB,
  • a motorcycle engine running is about 95 dB.
  • Noise above 70 dB over a prolonged period of time may start to damage your hearing.
  • Loud noise above 120 dB can cause immediate harm to your ears.
